Ryosuke Muraoka "COLONY"

DELTA is pleased to present this solo exhibition by Ryosuke Muraoka, winner of the 2022 KYOTOGRAPHIE/DELTA Open Call.

For his series “COLONY,” Muraoka constructed complex entities using familiar materials such as bananas, mushrooms or pine cones and captured them in photographs. Combined into such structures, these materials reveal forms, depths and unique visual qualities that would be entirely unthinkable from the shape of their individual elements. Muraoka’s work envisions the links of these worlds born from the collusions, collisions and connections of individual elements with parts of our human world—a point that was highly appreciated by the Open Call juries.

DELTA will offer a complementary menu during the duration of Ryosuke Muraoka’s exhibition. We hope you enjoy the unique universe of these complex works.
