展示企画募集｜Open Call for Exhibition Submissions

DELTA／KYOTOGRAPHIEは、第3回目の展示企画の公募を実施いたします。今回は、2023年12月から2024年1月までの約4-5週間、DELTA1階のカフェギャラリー内で開催するための展示企画案を募集いたします。応募内容は写真もしくは写真に関連した作品を対象とし、応募された中から企画案を一つ採択します。年齢、国籍問わず、アーティスト、キュレーター、どなたからの提案も歓迎いたします。なお今回選出された方に、KYOTOGRAPHIE 2024のインターナショナル・ポートフォリオレビューに参加する機会を与えます。ぜひこのチャンスをお見逃しなく、応募しませんか？

DELTA / KYOTOGRAPHIE is pleased to announce the third open call for its exhibition program. The selected exhibition will take place from December to January 2024 at DELTA’s cafe gallery. The focus of this open call is on photography-related artworks. We welcome proposals from all artists and curators, without any restrictions on age, nationality, gender, or background. The selected artist will also be given the opportunity to participate in the KYOTOGRAPHIE 2024 International Portfolio Review. Please do not miss this chance to share your proposal with us.

DELTA／KYOTOGRAPHIEは若手作家の育成やサポートのプラットフォームとなることを目指しています。KYOTOGRAPHIE 京都国際写真祭の初となる常設スペースとして、2020年秋に京都・出町桝形商店街にオープンしました。商店街の中央に位置するDELTAは、1階にはカフェとギャラリーが併設されています。2階にはアート宿泊施設「DELTA STAY」があります。地元の方から観光客、そして国内外のアーティスト、キュレーターや専門家など様々な方々が集まるスペースになります。

DELTAは新しい表現の実験の場、そして発表の場になりたいと思います。──そんな Incubator（孵化器）のようなスペースで、皆さまの提案を心から楽しみにお待ちしています。

DELTA is KYOTOGRAPHIE’s permanent exhibition space, which opened in autumn 2020 in Demachi Masugata Shopping Arcade in Kyoto as a platform that aims to raise and support young artists. Located in the center of a shopping arcade in Kyoto. The first floor houses a café and a gallery, while the second floor is host to the art hotel DELTA STAY, popular with many kinds of visitors—from local residents to tourists, artists, curators, and professionals from all over the world.

We strive to be an incubator for ideas and creation, and a platform of support and new opportunities. We sincerely invite you to present us your artworks and projects to be exhibited as part of DELTA’s program.

Based in Japan. Application is possible for individuals as well as groups. There are no restrictions on nationality, age, gender, or background.

募集企画内容
About the open call

DELTA1階のカフェギャラリー内で開催する展示を募集します。写真もしくは写真に関連した作品を対象とします。ただし、展示壁は高さ3メートル × 横幅7メートルの黒皮鉄板となり、磁石（耐荷重20kgまで）を用いた展示方法がメインとなります。ギャラリー内中央部分に追加で作品を展示する可能性については、別途相談の上決定させていただきます。展示会期は約5週間。基本的には入場無料の展示とします。

The main focus of this open call is on photography-related artworks. Artworks will be exhibited on a black metallic wall with a height of 3 meters and a length of 7 meters, and attached using magnets (max. weight 20 kg). Additional elements may be exhibited in the center of the space based on agreement. The exhibition will last for four to five weeks and take place in the cafe gallery on the first floor of DELTA/KYOTOGRAPHIE Permanent Space. Access to the gallery is free of charge for all audiences.

Submission guideline

下記の提出資料①②③全てを一つのZIPファイルにまとめ、ファイル名を応募者の名前（ローマ字）で作成して下さい。WeTransfer、firestorageなどオンラインデータ便を利用した上、ダウンロードリンクを応募フォームにご記入ください。

① プログラムの提案書（PDF形式 / タイトル / ステートメント / 1000字以内 / 1MB以下）
② 静止画（Jpeg形式 / 長辺1200 Pixel / 解像度72dpi / 10枚以内 / 各画像データを500KB以下）
③ CVとプロフィール（PDF形式 / 1MB以下）

Please compress the following data ① ② ③ into a single ZIP file. The ZIP file’s name should include your name (in alphabet). Please upload the file to a file-sharing service such as WeTransfer, firestorage or any similar service, and include the download link in the online submission form. Your submission should include the following:

① A written program proposal (format: PDF / max. 1MB). Please include the title and a statement (max. 1000 words).

｜企画者の業務

• 出展作品の提案・連絡調整
• 作品の制作（制作費は企画者の負担となります）
• 企画関連資料（ステートメント、プロフィール）、画像データの提供等、宣伝・広報への協力
• 展示プランの作成、事前及び当日の現場会場での設営・実施・撤去
• 企画制作打ち合わせなどDELTAが求める会議やイベントの出席
• その他、本プロジェクトに必要な業務

｜DELTAの業務

• 実施会場の無償提供と運営
• DELTAのホームページでの情報掲載およびDELTA／KYOTOGRAPHIEの公式SNSでの発信
• 企画に関するその他掲示物の編集、翻訳や制作
• 作品の委託販売や物販がある場合の商品管理とレジ業務（販売を伴う場合、売上の30%を申し受けます。）

｜Duties of the selected applicants

• Provide a proposal of the artworks to be exhibited and be in contact with our team.
• Produce the artworks at own expense.
• Provide information such as an artist statement, a profile text and images for promotional use.
• Provide an exhibition plan in advance for approval and be on site for the installation and dismantling of the exhibition.
• Attend meetings and events requested by DELTA.
• Other tasks that may be necessary for the production of the project.

｜DELTA’s Duties

• Offer its platform and exhibition space for free and be in charge of the operation.
• Promote the exhibition via DELTA’s homepage and official social media channels of DELTA and KYOTOGRAPHIE.
• Edit, translate and produce any materials necessary for the program.
• In case of consignment sales of artworks or sale of goods, DELTA is responsible for item handling and cashier operations. (DELTA charges 30% commission for consignment sales)
